What is OES Online Wage Library?

Provided by the Department of Labor, the wage data was collected under the Occupational Employment Statistics (OES) program and designed for use in the Foreign Labor Certification process. The Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) has been used by the OES program to classify occupational wage information since 1999. The SOC provides a common interface for categorizing occupations. It also serves as the basic for information being collected through the Department of Labor's Occupational Information Network (ONET). The ONET provides the public employment information on skills, abilities, knowledge, tasks, work activities, and the specific vocational preparation levels associated with occupations.
